What is the Project Accelerator Team?
The Project Accelerator Committee is responsible for the development, delivery and marketing of the Project Accelerator Mentoring Program. The program is an all-in-one project ideation, design and mentoring program to connect young emerging leaders with experienced changemakers to take their advocacy to the next level. The Project Accelerator Lead will lead the program team to network with and recruit mentors and mentees for the program, organise the program sessions, market the program and ensure its ongoing success.
The Project Accelerator Support Leads will work with the Lead and the program team to network with and recruit mentors and mentees for the program, organise the program sessions, market the program and ensure its ongoing success.
The Project Accelerator Wellbeing Officer’s role is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both the mentees and mentors in the program. They will be responsible for working with the Project Accelerator team to send reminders to and following up with the program participants about attendance at sessions etc, as well as supporting under 18 participants and liaising with their parents to ensure appropriate duty of care is fulfilled. Experience in mental health first aid is desired.
The Social Media & Marketing Officer’s role is to work with the rest of the Project Accelerator team to create content and share the Project Accelerator program on social media and other platforms (school and university networks etc), and to monitor and maintain regular reminders and information over email and other platforms to recruit and network with program participants.
The Admin and Legal Officer’s role is to complete often one-off tasks to ensure the legal compliance of the program, as well as completing administrative tasks. Tasks may include creating a risk minimisation strategy, ensuring all mentors and volunteers have valid working with vulnerable people checks in their relevant state, and any other similar tasks at the Lead’s and team’s discretion.
